Equivalent Specifications

DIN 2.1504
14Ni3Al1Fe
CuNi14Al3Fe1
NF L14-702 CuNi14Al2
UN14A2

Key Features

A high strength hybrid alloy which exhibits the corrosion resistance of cupro nickel combined with the high strength of  aluminium bronze.

Can be precipitation hardened to achieve tensile properties close to those of beryllium copper.

Typical Uses

Marine: The excellent corrosion resistance of this alloy and  non-susceptibility to hydrogen embrittlement, combined with high strength makes it an ideal material for marine fasteners.

It is also used for lead connectors and stab plates. The alloy is utilised in  many Naval Marine applications such as winches,
actuator values, sea water valves and general engineering.

Aerospace: The alloy is also used in aerospace for landing gear bushes and sleeves which utilizes the excellent wear resistance.

Automotive: It can be used in high performance automotive applications for valve guides and valve seats.
