ASTM B 505 C93500
An American continuous cast high leaded tin bronze CuSn5Pb9Zn. This alloy is similar to C93200 and C93400 but with a lower tin but higher lead content. With the lower tin the tensile strength is reduced but the alloy has greater ductility. The higher lead reduces the coefficient of friction and helps with anti-seizer in case of failed lubrication. The alloy is suitable for general purpose high speed bearings at low loads.
This alloy can be supplied to alternative specifications SAE 66, SAE J461/J462, QQ-C-390B, QQ-B-1005 Comp14, Mil-B-11553 Comp14, AS 1565, BS 1400 LB4, and EN 1982:2008 GC CC494K.
