BS 2B 23

BS 2B 23
Nickel Aluminium Bronze
CuAl10Ni5Fe5

A British Nickel Aluminium Bronze where its unique combined properties of high strength, good fatigue, excellent corrosion resistance in sea water, non sparking and wear properties makes it a popular choice across the whole spectrum of industry.

BS 2B 23 (formerly BSB23) has very high anti galling properties when running against most grades of steels and is used around the world for aerospace landing gear bushes and bearings where its combination strength, fatigue, wear properties, shock resistance and corrosion resistance are well proven.

This is a wrought alloy that benefits from extreme consistency in properties, fine equiaxed grain structure and low cost volumetric inspection. Furthermore representative test pieces are taken giving accurate analysis of properties from material to component.
