CC331G

An aluminium bronze with 10% aluminium and 3% iron which gives additional strength and acts as a grain refiner. The composition meets the requirements of BS EN 1982-2008 CC 331G CuAl10Fe2-C and can be manufactured also to BS 1400 AB1 CuAl10Fe3 . The alloy has good abrasion resistance and can be used for slow moving parts under high loads but need adequate lubrication. It is also used in sea water application and has moderate resistance in non-oxidising mineral acids and alkalis, is good with organic acids and boiler feed water.
