Key Features
A bearing alloy with high strength, good wear resistance and corrosion resistant in sea water. The addition of nickel increases the strength and corrosion resistance.
Typical Uses
Can be used for annular and tubular structural components, nuts under load, high stressed fast running worm wheels rims and helical gear wheel rims.
Loading Characteristics for worm wheels depending on sliding speed.c=200-1250N/cm² or for short time loading 4000-4500N/cm².

BS EN 1982-2008 GC CC484K
A 12% tin bronze with the addition of 1.5-2.0 nickel which meets the requirements of BS EN 1982-2008 CC484K CuSn12Ni2-C and can also be certified to BS 1400 CT2 CuSn12Ni.The alloy has a higher strength and hardness than CC480K with the additional tin and nickel. The nickel also gives added abrasion and corrosion resistance. The alloy can be used for heavy loaded gears and cams, running at low speeds but needs adequate lubrication.
