BS EN 1982:2008 GC CC490K
A continuous cast leaded gunmetal meeting the requirement of BS EN 1982-2008 CC490K, the defunct German specification Rg7, which is now DIN 1705 2.1090. CC490K also conforms to
BS1400 LG1 CuSn3Zn8Pb5.
A general multi-functional bearing alloy, with moderate strength working under low loads and general industrial applications. The addition of zinc aids pressure tightness and castability. Has less wear resistance than the non-leaded gunmetals and needs adequate lubrication but has good embeddability
