This alloy is ductile and can be cold worked. It is normally manufactured in the form of tube plate to be used in water condenser system, pressure vessels and heat exchanges.
The alloy is also used for bearings and expansion plates for bridges and other structural applications.

A German copper and copper alloy forging specification for aluminium bronze CuAl8Fe. The alloy contains 3% iron which increases strength and acts as a grain refiner. This alloy is classified as medium strength with high ductility and has good sea water corrosion resistance. The alloy can also be released to DIN 17672/3 W Nr 2.0932, EN 1265 CW303G, ASTM B 150 C61400, BS 2875 CA106.
