BS1400 G3
A cast gunmetal containing nickel for increase physical properties. Comprising of 7% tin, 5.5% nickel and 2% zinc, the alloy conforms to BS1400 G3 CuSn7Ni5Zn3 and has no know European equivalent. This alloy can be heat treated to give increased strength and hardness, which imparts excellent wear and abrasion resistance. The alloy does need good lubrication and is suitable for slow moving parts.
