BS1400 LB1

A British continuous cast leaded tin bronze to the classic British engineering standard BS1400 LB1 CuPb15Sn9, meeting the requirements of BS EN 1982-2008 GC CC-496K. LB1 can handle moderate loading and high sliding velocities. This high leaded bronze can also withstand dust and grit ingress. With the high lead content it has excellent lubricity and good embeddability. The alloy requires a minimum shaft hardness of HB150. LB1 will also work well with water lubrication, making it a useful bearing for water pumps.
