ASTM B 505 C83600
An American continuous cast leaded gun metal also known as leaded red brass,CuSn5Zn5Pb5. This is considered as general purpose bearing bronze for non onerous applications with medium to low loads. The alloy is very versatile and is renowned as having high ductility, good casting qualities as well as being easy to machine. It and has good thermal and electrical conductivity properties good corrosion resistance, making it an ideal choice in marine environments with the material being used for seawater valves and ships components.
