Key Features

A nickel-chromium alloy with additions of molybdenum and niobium which greatly enhance the properties of the face-centred cubic structure.

The alloy has outstanding resistance to all types of sea water corrosion including pitting, crevice and impingement. It also has resistance to corrosion by mineral acids such as nitric, phosphorus, hydrochloric and sulphuric. Also has resistance to alkalis and organic acids in both reducing and oxidising conditions.

Typical Uses

Industrial: Acid production equipment, flue gas scrubber components, mining equipment.

Marine: Offshore industry, pumps, shafts and fasteners.

Aerospace: Aircraft engine components.
